Grá Bia is a conceptual rebrand exploration for The Happy Pear, a plant-based health food brand from Wicklow. The project focused on developing a refreshed visual identity inspired by Celtic herbal traditions, reflecting the brand’s connection to wellness, sustainability, and natural living.
The aim was to create a brand direction that felt both contemporary and rooted in heritage, balancing a sense of authenticity with a distinctive and recognisable visual presence.

The creative direction was informed by research into Celtic symbolism, herbal traditions, and the relationship between nature, wellbeing, and food. I explored how these influences could be translated into a modern identity while maintaining the approachable and optimistic personality associated with the brand.
The visual direction combined organic forms, decorative elements, and natural references to create a design language that felt balanced, meaningful, and connected to the brand’s values.

The identity was developed around the themes of balanced, decorative, and mystical, combining botanical-inspired graphics, expressive typography, and a refined colour palette to create a more elevated brand experience.
I focused on creating a cohesive visual system that could extend across packaging, digital applications, and marketing materials while maintaining clarity and consistency. Typography and layout decisions were carefully considered to ensure the decorative elements enhanced the brand rather than overwhelming the communication.

This concept project allowed me to explore how research, storytelling, and visual identity design can work together to create a meaningful brand experience.
After developing a new brand identity I created some layouts for a cookbook along with social posts.
